Using startup.ph

startup.ph is a news, directory, and community platform covering the Philippine startup ecosystem — news, a directory of startups, investors, events, jobs, tools, and school/student organizations, a glossary, and a newsletter. By browsing the site you don’t need to agree to anything beyond ordinary web use. By submitting anything to us — a startup, investor, event, job, tool, or school/org listing, a newsletter signup, or a contact message — you agree to these Terms of Use.

Submissions

Every directory listing on startup.ph starts as a submission through one of our forms. We review submissions before anything goes live — we may edit a listing for length, clarity, or formatting, decline to publish it, or remove it later at our discretion. Submitting something does not guarantee it will be published.

When you submit anything to us, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You’re authorized to submit it — for a company, investor, or organization listing, that you’re authorized to represent that company, fund, or organization.
  • Nothing you submit infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.

You keep ownership of whatever original content you submit. By submitting it, you give startup.ph a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, display, edit for length or clarity, and share that content as part of your public listing on this site — including in search results, social shares, and our newsletter. Company names, logos, and trademarks that appear on startup.ph remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify them.

Editorial content

News articles and glossary entries are written by or on behalf of startup.ph. Where an article covers a global story, we aim to add a genuine Philippine angle rather than simply reprint the original. Opinions expressed in our editorial content are our own. Nothing on startup.ph — news, directory listings, or glossary entries — is investment, legal, financial, or business advice, and none of it should be treated as a substitute for your own due diligence or professional advice.

Accuracy of directory listings

Startup, investor, event, job, tool, and school/org listings are based on information self-reported by the people and organizations they describe. We apply a baseline editorial review before publishing, but we do not independently audit funding figures, company status, event details, or any other claim in a listing. Details can also go out of date after a listing is approved — a “hiring” badge on a job post or an “active” status on a company profile reflects what was true when it was submitted or last updated, not necessarily right now. If you’re relying on anything on this site for a business, investment, or employment decision, verify it independently first.

Third-party links

startup.ph links out to company websites, social media, registration pages, and other third-party sites. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of any site we link to.

No warranty, limitation of liability

startup.ph is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, startup.ph and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any content or listing published on it.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to submit fraudulent, spam, or misleading listings; impersonate a person or organization you’re not authorized to represent; scrape or systematically harvest data from this site; abuse or attempt to circumvent our submission forms, rate limits, or spam protections; or submit anything unlawful.

Corrections and removal requests

If you submitted a listing, or a listing describes you or your organization, you can request a correction or removal at any time through our Contact page.
