About Greylock Partners

Greylock Partners is one of the oldest venture capital firms in the United States, founded in 1965 by Bill Elfers and Dan Gregory (later joined by Charlie Waite), originally based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It opened its first Silicon Valley office in 1999 and relocated its main office to Menlo Park, California in 2009; its Israel operation was rebranded as an independent firm, 83North, in 2015. Greylock manages committed capital of over $3.5 billion, having raised a $1 billion 17th fund in 2023 and a $1.5 billion 18th fund in 2026. Current partners include David Sze, Reid Hoffman, and Mustafa Suleyman.

The firm concentrates on early-stage investing in consumer and enterprise software, with a portfolio built over six decades that includes Facebook, LinkedIn, Airbnb, Flickr, and Digg. No Philippines-specific investment activity or presence was found.

Investment Thesis

Greylock focuses on backing exceptional founders at the earliest institutional stage in consumer internet and enterprise software companies, leaning on a small partnership of operator-investors (including former founders and executives of major consumer and AI companies) to provide hands-on early guidance rather than spreading across a very large number of bets.
