About Peak XV Partners

Peak XV Partners began in 2006 as Sequoia Capital India before later expanding to cover Southeast Asia as well. In June 2023, Sequoia Capital announced a global restructuring — citing the difficulty of running a decentralized worldwide investment business amid geopolitical tensions — that split the firm into three fully independent entities: Sequoia Capital (retaining the name, focused on the U.S. and Europe), HongShan (the China business, led by Neil Shen), and the India/Southeast Asia business, which rebranded as Peak XV Partners and became a genuinely separate, standalone firm (with the full separation completing by March 2024). Peak XV's leadership includes Shailendra Singh, GV Ravishankar, Mohit Bhatnagar, and Rajan Anandan.

As of its own current disclosures, Peak XV manages over $10 billion in assets under management across more than 450 portfolio investments, with 36 IPOs across 5 countries to date, and maintains offices in the United States, India, Singapore, and the UAE. Its portfolio includes Zomato, Meesho, OYO Rooms, BlinkIt, Razorpay, CRED, Groww, Pine Labs, and Southeast Asian companies GoTo Group and Kopi Kenangan.

Investment Thesis

Peak XV Partners invests from seed through growth and beyond, across India, Southeast Asia, and increasingly the U.S. and other global innovation hubs, with a broad sector mandate spanning fintech, e-commerce, consumer, SaaS, and developer tools. As the continuation of Sequoia Capital's India/Southeast Asia franchise, the firm draws on nearly two decades of regional investing history and a large internal operating team supporting portfolio companies on finance, hiring, legal, and go-to-market execution.
