About Vickers Venture Partners

Vickers Venture Partners is a Singapore-headquartered venture capital firm founded in 2005 by Finian Tan, a former DFJ ePlanet partner known for an early investment in Baidu. The firm has since built a global office network spanning Shanghai, Hong Kong, New York, San Diego, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, London, and Kuala Lumpur, and in December 2021 announced it had raised over US$250 million for a fund emphasizing deep-tech investments worldwide.

Vickers invests across life sciences, technology, media and telecommunications, consumer services, and financial services, with portfolio companies whose combined market value has been reported at more than US$100 billion. Notable investments and exits include Baidu, Focus Media Holding, Kongzhong Corporation, biotech company Samumed, and fintech infrastructure firm M-DAQ.

Investment Thesis

Vickers Venture Partners invests at the early stage across a deliberately broad set of sectors — deep tech, life sciences, technology, media, telecom, consumer services, and financial services — reflecting founder Finian Tan's own background spanning venture investing and life-sciences entrepreneurship. The firm has historically concentrated its Asia investments in China and Singapore while building out a genuinely global sourcing network through its North American and European offices.
