About Tayotayo Work Philippines
Tayotayo is a technology-driven, two-sided marketplace that connects individuals and businesses with skilled workers and service providers in their communities. Our goal is to make finding skilled workers easier, more accessible, and more organized while creating additional income and livelihood opportunities for Filipinos.
In the Philippines, finding reliable service providers often depends on personal referrals, Facebook groups, and word of mouth. Meanwhile, many skilled individuals struggle to reach potential customers despite having the experience and abilities to offer valuable services.
Tayotayo aims to bridge this gap through a digital platform where workers can create professional profiles, showcase their skills, set their own rates, manage availability, and connect directly with customers. Users can discover nearby workers, review profiles, communicate through built-in messaging, and coordinate service requests.
Unlike commission-based marketplaces, Tayotayo offers free registration and does not deduct commissions from workers’ earnings. Our approach prioritizes accessibility, allowing skilled individuals to build their presence and find opportunities without significant financial barriers.
Currently in beta, Tayotayo is launching in Daet, Camarines Norte, with plans to expand nationwide. Our long-term vision includes business-focused workforce solutions, partnerships with training institutions, and technology-driven tools that improve worker discovery, verification, and matching.
We envision Tayotayo becoming a trusted digital infrastructure for skilled work in the Philippines, empowering local communities by connecting skills with opportunities.
The Problem They're Solving
In the Philippines, finding skilled workers often relies on word of mouth, personal referrals, and scattered social media posts. This makes the process inefficient, time-consuming, and difficult to verify. At the same time, many skilled Filipinos struggle to find consistent work opportunities because they lack visibility, professional networks, or resources to promote their services.
Tayotayo addresses this gap by providing a centralized digital marketplace where individuals and businesses can discover, connect with, and hire skilled workers within their communities. The platform helps workers become more visible and accessible while making it easier for customers to find suitable service providers based on their skills, location, rates, and availability.
Who They Serve
Tayotayo serves two primary user groups:
**1. Skilled Workers and Independent Service Providers:** Filipinos offering services such as electrical work, plumbing, repairs, cleaning, tutoring, driving, photography, design, and other technical or professional skills. This includes freelancers, self-employed individuals, students, vocational graduates, and employed professionals seeking additional income.
**2. Individuals and Households:** Cust
What Makes Them Different
Tayotayo combines the accessibility of social media referrals with the structure and functionality of a dedicated skilled-services marketplace.
Unlike traditional job boards focused on formal employment or freelance platforms primarily serving digital professionals, Tayotayo is designed for a broad range of skilled workers, including trade workers, technicians, creatives, and local service providers.
Our platform operates as a two-sided marketplace where workers can independently offer their services while individuals and businesses can discover and directly engage them.
Our key differentiators include free registration, zero commission on worker earnings, location-based discovery, transparent worker profiles, direct communication, and integrated scheduling and job coordination.
We are also adopting a community-first expansion strategy, beginning in smaller local markets where skilled workers may have limited access to dedicated digital platforms.
Our competitive advantage lies in reducing barriers to opportunity while building a more organized and accessible ecosystem for local skilled work.
